The deal, in plain words

TrailGoat is made and run by Capra, LLC, a small company in Georgia, USA. When these terms say "we", that's who they mean. Questions, refund requests, takedowns, anything at all: email kris@trailgoat.run and a person answers.

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't, the honest thing is to not use it — but do tell us why.

Free, with or without an account: the Run Planner and everything it calculates (pacing, fueling, hydration, weather, gear), the course pages and the race catalog, viewing a crew sheet someone shared with you, printouts and pace bands, and GPX and watch files.

• Race Pass — a one-time $19 for one race. It turns on the live crew sheet, the Capra coach and offline plans for that race.
• Pro — $59 per year, billed yearly until you cancel. Everything a Race Pass does, for every race you save, plus whatever Pro-only features are listed on the pricing page at the time.

Prices are in US dollars. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. If prices change, the change applies to new purchases only — a Pro plan renews at the price you signed up at until you cancel or we tell you otherwise in advance.

• Race Pass — full refund on request within 14 days of purchase.
• Pro — cancel any time from Manage subscription on your dashboard. Your access runs to the end of the period you've paid for and nothing further is charged. Full refund on request within 14 days of any charge, the first or a renewal. After 14 days there are no pro-rated refunds for the rest of the year.

Regardless of the window: if your race is cancelled, or the sheet you paid for never went live, you get your money back. Just ask.

Refund requests go to kris@trailgoat.run. We'd rather refund $19 than argue about it.

• One person per account. Sign-in is through Google; we never hold a password.
• You need to be 18 or older to buy a Race Pass or Pro, and 13 or older to use the site at all.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account, so don't share it.
• You can delete your account, and everything in it, any time from the privacy page. That is immediate and permanent.

Reviews, photos and the routes you make public are yours. You give TrailGoat a licence to host them, resize them and show them on the site and in embeds, so that other runners can see what you posted. That's the whole reason to post them, and the whole extent of the licence.

• A route stays public once you've posted it, because other runners may already have planned from it. Deleting it detaches your name.
• Photo metadata (location, camera, timestamps) is stripped on upload — see the privacy page.
• Post only what you have the right to post. If something of yours is here and shouldn't be, email kris@trailgoat.run and it comes down.

A short list, in plain words:

• No bulk scraping or copying of the race catalog.
• No false, paid-for or abusive reviews.
• No impersonating another runner, a race, or a race director.
• No reselling or sharing paid access.

We may hide or remove content, and close accounts, that break these. We'll say why when we do.

Everything TrailGoat calculates — pacing, fueling, hydration, arrival times, cutoff buffers, weather — is an estimate, and everything Capra, the AI coach, says is general guidance. None of it is medical advice, and none of it knows your body better than you and your doctor do.

Course data, cutoffs and aid stations come from race websites, GPX files and runners, and they can be wrong or out of date. When TrailGoat and the race's official sources disagree, the race wins. Read the race's own information before you toe the line.

TrailGoat is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it up and right, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or suited to your particular race. Long races have long days, and no website replaces a crew chief with a printout.

To the extent the law allows, Capra, LLC's total liability to you for anything arising from the site is capped at what you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. For anything material, paying users get an email or an on-site notice before it takes effect. Keep using the site after that and the new terms apply.

You can stop using TrailGoat, and delete your account, whenever you like. We can close accounts that break these terms, and if we ever shut the service down we'll give notice and refund any unused paid time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. If a dispute can't be settled by email, which it almost always can, the courts of Georgia have jurisdiction.
