Built by a trail runner,
for trail runners
TrailGoat isn't a startup with a growth team. It's one ultrarunner's toolkit that got good enough to share — made between long runs, tested on real races, and free for every runner who wants it.
The story
Hi — I'm Kris. I run ultras. And like every ultrarunner, I used to plan races the hard way: a GPX file in one tab, a fueling spreadsheet in another, a pace chart scribbled on the back of the race brochure, and a 5 a.m. gut feeling about whether any of it added up.
TrailGoat started as the tool I wished existed the night before a 50K — one place where the course's real climbs, the fueling math, and the pacing actually talk to each other. I built it for myself first. Every feature on this site has been dragged up a climb, argued with mid-taper, and fixed after it let me down on a long run.
The goat? Greatness On All Trails. Also, goats are the only athletes that make uphill running look reasonable.
What TrailGoat is
The deal
TrailGoat is free while in beta. No ads, no selling your data, no dark patterns — the honest details live on the privacy page, including a button that deletes your account and everything in it.
If TrailGoat helps you get to a start line better prepared, the best things you can do are tell a running buddy, and tell me what's broken or missing. This site gets better the same way training does: one honest rep at a time.
